Description

This polished Selenite Sphere highlights the luminous, fibrous appearance characteristic of satin spar gypsum commonly sold as selenite.

Soft white striations run throughout the sphere, creating a silky optical effect that shifts gently as the piece moves through the light. Depending on the viewing angle, areas may appear pearly white, softly translucent, or almost illuminated from within.

The spherical form allows the mineral’s linear structure and natural variations to be appreciated from every direction, giving the piece a quiet sculptural quality as well as visual interest.
