Description

These polished Amethyst Towers highlight the natural range of color and patterning found within this classic purple variety of quartz.

Amethyst can range from soft lilac and muted violet to deeper purple tones, often with areas of lighter and darker color throughout the same stone. Natural color zoning is a common characteristic of Amethyst and gives individual pieces their own distinctive appearance.

Each tower is cut and polished into a pointed form while retaining the unique variations of the mineral beneath. Differences in color saturation, translucency, internal patterning, inclusions, and proportions make every piece individual.

Amethyst naturally occurs in a wide range of purple tones, and color distribution may vary considerably between pieces. GIA notes that Amethyst commonly displays areas of darker and lighter color.
